4x 8 ft Banners. Options and Specifications
The size of 4x8 ft (feet) is equivalent to 48" x 96".
You can use it in vertical / portrait display, or horizontal / landscape display.
Because it is as big as a plywood board, there is a lot of area to display a message. It is bigger than 4 banners each measuring 24"x36" together.
The hems, which manifest as a folding on the edges, reinforce the banner and make it more resistant to failure because of tear.
Use the grommets or eyelets that can be placed at regular distances from each other, to firmly hold the banner to a structure or wall.
Windlits are semi-circular cuts spread on the banner to allow wind to pass through the banner without behaving the banner like a sail catching wind. Select this option for outdoor installations in windy areas.
Printing is done with high resolution quality so backgrounds will display beautifully.

Materials for 4 x 8 ft (4' x 8') banners
4x8 banners are available in three different options:
- 4x8 13oz vinyl banner: 13 oz indicates the thickness and weight of a square foot of the banner material.
- It is the most popular thickness
- Can be used indoors or outdoors in areas with limited wind
- Single-side printing only
- 4x8 15oz vinyl banner: 15 oz indicates a thicker and heavier material than the previous one.
- Ideal for outdoors where intermediate weather conditions are present
- Consider adding wind slits to prevent the wind force from damaging your banner

- Heavy duty banners
- 4x8 18oz vinyl banner: 18oz is a very thick vinyl
- It is mainly used for outdoors where the weather conditions can be severe

Holding a banner indoors or outdoors
An indoor banner is not subject to wind, so you don't need many places where to secure the banner from. If you want an installation where the banner looks very flat and tense, additional anchoring points might be useful. The anchoring points in banners are the grommets.
Banners that will sit outdoors, because of the exposure to wind, and depending on the hanging location, different considerations should be taken. If the banner will be hanging on a wall or exposed to wind from every side, you might want to consider grommets and adding wind slits

Reinforcing the four borders of the banner to prevent unnecessary wear and tear
When reinforcing the borders of your banner (the perimeter of your banner) stronger, you are allowing the sign to last so much longer, mainly when exhibited outdoors.
The reinforcement consists on doubling the thickness of the vinyl on the perimeter, and quadrupling the thickness of the banner where the anchors (grommets) are placed at the corners.
The positive effect of this reinforcement is that the wind won't tear it due to natural movement caused by air flow,
