The benefit of printing in full color is that it is possible to indicate through background color specific areas where information has to be reported, mark areas where signatures are mandatory, and to provide other clues as of how to process the form.
Carbonless paper is designed to produce instant copies of a document as it is being written on. It does not allow for a post-printed copy, but it allows to produce a copy in real time.
Carbonless copy paper is a type of custom coated paper where the pressure applied when writing on one sheet of paper generates an image on the next sheet.
Carbon copies used to require a carbon sheet in between the two sheets so that the marks would be reproduced on the next sheet.
The carbonless technology substituted the carbon copy sheet with a chemical coating on the bottom of the sheet on which you write, and another chemical applied on the sheet where the copy is to be placed.

The way in which you use your carbonless forms will determine which of these 3 options you select:
#1 -Loose Forms: The forms will be placed inside a box, and you will be able to pull one form at a time
#2 - Books or Pads: If you want to get a little bit more organized, binding the forms into books could be helpful. Most of the time, books will also have numbered forms for record-keeping purposes.
Stapled books get a perforation (or precut line) as a standard feature.
Guled pads do not get perforation.
This is the location where each set is glued.
This selection is not related to the finishing of the book or glue-padded-books
Does perforation affect the size of the form? - When there is perforation, the size of the sheet is still the same (in this case 5.5"x8.5").
Where is the perforation located? The perforation is 0.5" (1/2 inch) from the edge on the side where the glue is requested.Reduced Image Size: - If the cut line is on the 8.5" side, your imprint area becomes 5" x 8.5" - If the cut line is on the 5.5" side, your imprint area becomes 5.5" x 8.0"
Design considerations for perforation or hole drilling: Avoid printing in the area between the perforation line and the edge.
You must describe here where in the form you want the perforation to be.
Production Time: Perforation and/or hole drilling will add up to 2 business days to the production schedule.
