Full color ink allows to print anything in any color. It is important to keep in mind that the colors look different if they are printed on white paper, or on the 2nd copy of the carbonless paper, which is yellow-canary color. Your client usually keeps the top copy, which is white. The benefit of full color printing is that it is possible to point users, through highlighting colors, specific areas where information has to be filled-in. Clearly marking the fields where signatures are mandatory, and to provide other clues as of how to process the form.
Carbonless paper is designed to produce instant copies of a document as it is being written on. It does not allow for a post-printed copy, but it allows to produce a copy in real time.
Carbonless copy paper is a type of custom coated paper where the pressure applied when writing on one sheet of paper generates an image on the next sheet.
Carbon copies used to require a carbon sheet in between the two sheets so that the marks would be reproduced on the next sheet.
The carbonless technology replaced the older carbon copy sheets. A chemical coating on the bottom of the sheet on which you write, and another layer of a coating is applied on the sheet where the copy is to be placed.
The following sketch shows 3 sheets of paper that are part of this form. The microcapsules of ink on both bottom and top of two sheets react and produce the magic of transferring the image.
The magic of writing transfer needs a pen and pressure to that the coatings, when pressed, react one to the other and create the magic.

Carbonless paper is used in muliple applications that go from - medical forms, - prescriptions - invoices, - record-keeping documents, - inventory control, - repair shops at the time of receiving items for repair, - car repair shops, - job orders - and many more.
Digital forms have replaced paper forms in some applications. The reason that physical forms are still wildly popular has to do with the ease of use of forms. All that you need is a form and a pen to collect the information. Alternatively, the dificulty of implementing a digital/software solution is often not possible or simply not worth it.
Sometimes reinventing the wheel for certain tasks in your trade is not worth it. Technology and other factors still make the use of forms necessary.

How do you use your carbonless forms? Choose the size and binding options that best suit your needs.
#1 -Loose Forms: The forms will be placed inside a box, and you will be able to pull one form at a time
As you'll see when configuring the product, you can choose to have pre-cut options and dill holes.
#2 - Books or Pads: If you want to get a little bit more organized, binding the forms into books could be helpful. Most of the time, books will also have numbered forms for record-keeping purposes
This is the location where each set is glued.
This selection is not related to the finishing of the book or glue-padded-books
Does perforation affect the size of the form? - When there is perforation, the size of the sheet is still the same (in this case 8.5"x11").
Where is the perforation located? The perforation is 0.5" (1/2 inch) from the edge on the side where the perforation is done. (The imprint area becomes limited to either 8.5"x10.5", or 8"x11")
Design considerations for perforation or hole drilling: Avoid printing in the area between the perforation line and the edge.
You must describe here where in the form you want the perforation to be.
Production Time: Perforation and/or hole drilling will add up to 2 business days to the production schedule.
