Printing Colors Available for Carbonless Forms:
We offer the widest selection of options and through our calculators assign provide you with the most convenient option for your product.
- Black Ink is the most popular, used frequently for basic forms.
-Full Color: The reason our clients use full color printed forms is that these forms help simplify the relationship with a client, preventing errors in the communication and ensuring that orders placed by your clients are complete. Full color ink allows to print anything in any color. It is important to keep in mind that the colors look different if they are printed on white paper, or on the 2nd copy of the carbonless paper, which is yellow-canary color. Your client usually keeps the top copy, which is white.
The benefit of full color printing is that it is possible to point users, through highlighting colors, specific areas where information has to be filled-in. Clearly marking the fields where signatures are mandatory, and to provide other clues as of how to process the form.
What do Carbonless Forms are for?
Carbonless paper is designed to produce instant copies of a document as it is being written on. It does not allow for a post-printed copy, but it allows to produce a copy in real time.
Carbonless copy paper is a type of custom coated paper where the pressure applied when writing on one sheet of paper generates an image on the next sheet.
Carbon copies used to require a carbon sheet in between the two sheets so that the marks would be reproduced on the next sheet.
How does the Carbonless Copying work?
The carbonless technology replaced the older carbon copy sheets.
A chemical coating on the bottom of the sheet on which you write, and another layer of a coating is applied on the sheet where the copy is to be placed.
The following sketch shows 3 sheets of paper that are part of this form. The microcapsules of ink on both bottom and top of two sheets react and produce the magic of transferring the image.
The magic of writing transfer needs a pen and pressure to that the coatings, when pressed, react one to the other and create the magic.

Carbonless Forms in a Digital World
Digital forms have replaced paper forms in some applications.
The reason that physical forms are still wildly popular has to do with the ease of use of forms. All that you need is a form and a pen to collect the information.
Alternatively, the dificulty of implementing a digital/software solution is often not possible or simply not worth it.
Sometimes reinventing the wheel for certain tasks in your trade is not worth it. Technology and other factors still make the use of forms necessary.
