Frosted Plastic Business Cards (Business Cards - Many finishing and coating options)
Frosted Plastic: Rectangular or Oval Cards
Plastic cards are to be remembered just because they are so different and engaging.
A frost substrate allows to have a whitish background, but still appreciate the transparency of the substrate.
There is a limitation the amount of ink that can be used to print, so please, use caution when creating your reach blacks. Create them in CMYK and make sure to stay within the following limit: C-60 / M-40/ / Y-40 / K-100
Because these cards are so unique, they are mostly used not only for personal identification but as gift cards, VIP and membership IDs, memorable presents, and more.
Can you print on both sides of a frosted plastic business card?
Because of the partial transparency of the plastic sheet, we do not offer 2-side printing on this product. We try to preserve the best viewing experience with it. Seeing through the card does not provide a memorable experience.
Which material are these cards made-of?
The substrate that is printed is a plastic 20-point sheet. Plastic boards are made in a manufacturing process that is called "extrusion of plastic resins".
Most plastics are somehow clear and transparent. To provide color as in this case, opalescent white, white pigments are introduced in the mix.
As it happens in the manufacturing process o paper, a system of calender rollers will maintain the thickness constant, either smoothen the surface to a shiny finishing, or it can be made matte as well using some mechanical methods.
